SALE: Crown of Thorns originated from tropical Madagascar. They are not frost tolerant plants and therefore only grow outdoors in USDA hardiness zones 9-11 but can be grown indoors as houseplants anywhere. Crown of Thorns require very little care. When you receive your plant, plant it in good soil; preferably equal parts peat and sand. Once planted, be sure to only water your plant when the top inch of the soil is dry. Over watering or allowing it to stand in water, will cause your plant to rot. Crown of Thorns don't like big containers. Re-pot your plant as it grows but be careful to not use a pot too big for it. A container that is too big will cause your plant to grow up instead of to the sides, so you'll end up with a tall stalk instead of a bushy plant. Keep plants near a window with plenty of light and above 65 degrees Fahrenheit.
